How many times have you heard or seen that statement? Loads of venues tell you this...some failed. The thing is they usually tell you this to get you to join their AFFILIATE program where you supposedly then build thousands - even milliions - of opt-in users. Riggghhhhhtttt. Someone please tell me where that even happened? I don't care if it was supposedly fr.ee or paid - where and when did ANY AFFILIATE EVER BUILD a million opt-in membership? Sure did not happen with a much-hyped venue in 2005. Sure never happened with a couple high profile affiliate programs. There was the billion leads thing that disappeared OVERNIGHT in 2005.
Oh my gosh, the number of failed venues or ones which never live up to hype and promises far out-weigh the very small percentage of list building sites which actually survive for more than a few months.
Honestly, the only way to build a list is by owning/admining YOUR OWN VENUE or venues.There are many ways to build a list, and one of the best ways is to offer a SERVICE or product.
